Recently, Pakistani leader received an award from the US Commission on International Religious Freedom, for his role in Pakistan. He was quoted by the Associated Press as saying being ready to “pay the price” of his life for religious freedom.
After Gojra incident where eight Christians were burnt to death on Aug. 1, Christians and critics have blamed the blasphemy law. The Federal minister had promised to review, revisit and amend Pakistan’s blasphemy laws, currently being used as a tool to target non-Muslims including Christians.

“The Federal Minister for Minorities Affairs will expand on this position at the conference while sharing the inspiration behind his work as founder of the ‘All Pakistan Minorities Alliance’ (APMA),” CSW statement stated.

Congressman Wolf has been a staunch advocate of religious freedom in China, he 10 members of the House of Representatives called upon Chinese President Hu Jintao to “demonstrate that the rule of law” to be observed in the country as the leader had promised earlier.
