USCIRF to Testify on Religious Freedom Conditions in India and Pakistan
WASHINGTON, DC – United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) Commissioner Anurima Bhargava will testify at a Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission hearing, entitled “Jammu and Kashmir in Context,” on Thursday, November 14 at 2pm. Commissioner Bhargava will focus on the worsening religious freedom conditions in India that have informed how non-Hindu minorities are treated in Jammu and Kashmir and throughout India and Pakistan more broadly.
DUE TO THE LARGE NUMBER OF EXPECTED ATTENDEES, MEDIA IS ADVISED TO ARRIVE 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE HEARING.
