Huang Xiangling was imprisoned for her religious activity. 

In November 2018, authorities arrested Huang after accusing her of covering up posters criticizing Falun Gong.

In December 2019, Huang was reportedly sentenced to two years in prison for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL). Prosecutors claimed to have found Falun Gong-related materials at Huang's home and reportedly used this as evidence against her. 

Huang's sentence should have ended in November 2020.
