Ji Yiling is imprisoned for her religious belief and activity.
On June 29, 2018, officers from the Linchuan Branch of Fuzhou Public Security Bureau detained Ji reportedly in relation to her religious beliefs and participation in church activities, including shooting videos and taking photos.
On December 17, 2018, the Linchuan People's Court sentenced Ji to seven years and six months in prison for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).
Ji is believed to be serving her sentence at Jiangxi Women’s Prison.
