Li Yefang is imprisoned for her religious belief and activity.
On October 15, 2018, officers from the Anfu County Public Security Bureau in Ji’an city detained Li reportedly in relation to her religious belief.
On October 11, 2019, the Ji’an County People’s Court sentenced Li to five years and six months in prison and fined her 20,000 yuan for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).
Li was sent to Jiangxi Women’s Prison to serve her sentence.
