Lin Lizhen was imprisoned for her religious activity.
In August 2018, authorities from of Dianbai district, Maoming municipality, Guangdong province, detained Lin, her son, Wu Chaoqi, and her sister, Lin Yanmei.
On August 13, 2019, the Maonan District People's Court in Maoming sentenced to five years in prison and fined her 10,000 yuan for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).
On December 2, 2019, Lin's appeal was denied.
Lin's sentence should have ended in August 2023.
