Mu Pengjuan is imprisoned for her religious belief and activity.
On April 17, 2019, public security officers from the Qiaocheng District Public Security Bureau in Bozhou municipality, Anhui province, arrested Mu and her three sisters in relation to their belief and/or practice of Falun Gong.
On December 5, 2019, the Qiaocheng District People's Court sentenced Mu to seven years and six months in prison and fined her 50,000 yuan.
Mu's appeal was reportedly rejected at an unspecified date.
