Qaisar Ayub is imprisoned and sentenced to death for blasphemy.
In 2011, Ayub and his brother, Amoon Ayub, were accused of publishing blasphemous content on a website registered under Ayub's name. Following harassment over the accusation, the brothers fled the country but subsequently returned in 2012.
On November 10, 2014, authorities arrested Ayub and charged him with "insulting the Prophet Muhammad" (Sec. 295-C PPC).
On December 13, 2018, Ayub and his brother were sentenced to death.
On June 8, 2022, the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench upheld Ayub and his brother's death sentences.
Ayub is reportedly married with three children.
