Radik Imangulov is imprisoned for his religious belief and activity.

On March 1, 2017, authorities arrested Imangulov after accusing him of being a member of the banned Hizb ut-Tahrir organization. He and his colleagues reportedly came together to study religious literature and sought to attract new members, all of which are ordinary religious activities.

On December 11, 2017, the Volga District Military Court sentenced Imangulov to 11 years in prison for “participating in the activities of an organization…recognized as terrorist” (Art. 205.5-2 RCC).

Imangulov is married with three children.
