Siu Dik is imprisoned for his religious activity.
In 2016, authorities arrested Dik, a deacon, for participating in a religious group not approved by the government. Authorities accused him of establishing branches of a separatist organization through his religious activities. Dik was subsequently charged with "undermining national unity policy" (Art. 87/1999 VCC).
Later in 2016, Dik was sentenced to eight years in prison and three to five years' probation.
