Wu Yanhua is imprisoned for her religious activity.
On November 9, 2018, authorities in Daqing municipality, Heilongjiang province, arrested Wu alongside dozens of Falun Gong practitioners, including her husband, Guan Xingtao.
On September 29, 2019, Ranghulu People's Court sentenced Wu to seven years and six months in prison and fined her 20,000 yuan for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).
Wu is reportedly serving her sentence in Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison.
