Zhou Chunhua is imprisoned for her religious belief and activity.
On May 25, 2017, authorities detained Zhou reportedly in relation to her religious beliefs. Police also reportedly confiscated electronics containing religious content.
On November 29, 2017, the Qixia People’s Court sentenced Zhou to seven years and six months in prison and fined her 30,000 yuan for "organizing or using a cult to undermine implementation of the law" (Art. 300 CCL).
Zhou is believed to be serving her sentence in Shandong Women’s Prison.
